Radstadt’s hiking bus to Rossbrand Ridge
Visiting our landmark mountain, Rossbrand, at 1,768 m above sealevel, should be part of everyone’s holiday in Radstadt especially in summer. The full 360’ panoramic views cover 150 alpine peaks and are very impressive when the weather is clear. For ease of identification, the peaks are marked on information boards. A lovely way to mark your visit is with a break in the Radstädter Hut, which offers home-made cakes, regional dishes and drinks. From mid-May to mid-October, there is Frühschoppen (early drinks!!) every Sunday from 11.30 am, with live folk music from local musicians.
From Radstadt, it is a 4 hour walk approx. to the top of Rossbrand. If that is too much then the mountain road is suitable for cars, motorbikes or mountainbikes.
The easiest way to reach the summit though is with the Radstadt hiking bus.

Reaching the heights with the lifts
With lift-assisted hiking you glide effortlessly up into the high alpine pastures, to a tourist attraction or kid’s activity mountain. Sometimes you reach the mountain restaurant, viewing platform, a suspension bridge, a scenic lake or kid’s adventure trail right from the top of the lift, some require a bit more effort! Using the lift to take a ridgeline summit walk, a sporty tour or just a gentle cruise up in the mountains. The descent can be made with the lift, a summer toboggan, a mountain cart or even a mountainbike! Naturally you can also walk down.
