WHAT’S NEW IN RADSTADT

Radstadt has decided to give the streets of the inner city a new look and a new innovate image will be implemented step by step.
Along the streets “Schernbergstraße”, “Hoheneggstraße”, Prehauserplatz” and “Hofhaimerplatz” sidewalks will disappear, pedestrian areas and driving areas will be paved with beautiful granite plates as a continuous surface.

So at the end the inner icty area will turn into a kind of “Meeting Zone” where all road users are enjoying equal rights.

The constructions right in front of the Hotel Stegerbräu has largely been concluded. Further works will continue until end of autumn and then a bit of patience is asked until last steps, as a new lighting concept or plantings can be forwarded.

Radstadt undertakes the extension of its snowmaking system and began this summer with the construction of a storage pond with a volume of 110.000 m³ and the construction of a pumping station at the top of the “Kemahdhöhe” on 1.571 m sealevel. At the moment a giant construction site – but at the end it will be integrated excellently into natural scenery.

Also part of the overall project is a new pipeline with which water will be pumped to the approbriate places. The pistes can so be prepared earlier and more quickly.
