Here is some useful information of what to expect when golfing here at Radstadt Golfclub, which was named Austrian Golf Club of the Year in 2018, with all it has to offer golf enthusiasts and those looking to try this popular sport and what makes it so special.
Above all, Radstadt Golf Club has the striking Tauern region mountains as a backdrop for the 18-hole Championship course and 9-hole Par 3 Academy course, where you can usually play golf from mid-April to mid-November, regardless of whether you want to learn to play golf, improve your swing with the golf pro or take part in an exciting tournament.

YOUR GOLF EXPERIENCE & THE BIRDIE-JET GOLF GONDOLA
The golf course in Radstadt differs from all other golf courses in one particular and that is the Birdie Jet. From the 11th green, you float 250m up to the 12th tee in the gondola, which seats 4 people and also has a carrier following behind for the golf bags. The 12th hole, a short par 3, awaits you at almost 1,000 metres above sea-level, – that goes a short way down towards the 13th tee and that is where you will appreciate the real experience. The high tee shot is spectacular onto the green of the 13th hole, which is about 100m lower. Due to the difference in altitude, you have the feeling that the ball is flying forever…

The first 9 holes of the par 72 course are along the flat Enns valley floor. Nevertheless, it is important to stay on course, because there are water hazards here and there and the greens are sometimes tricky. On the back 9, a bit of stamina is required, because it gets steeper and so you need to not only focus on your golf shots, but also preserve your energy between shots. However to help you on the way, you always have the inspirational views over the Dachstein Mountains. Luckily, for the highest tees at 12 and 13, you ascend in comfort in the unique Birdie Jet gondola. This is the best place to enjoy the beautiful views before you hit your long drive onto the fairway of the 13th hole, which is about 100 meters lower. Holes 14 to 16 are relatively demanding and the last hole is 200m onto the 18th green, with a water hazard at the end.
In general, the terrain can be described as hilly with slight inclines. Fairways lie between trees and bushes, so it is regarded as relatively demanding. Excellent training and play oppportunities, regardless of whether you are a beginner or handicap player.
